Calvin So
Creative Director
Calvin So is a Creative Director at Salon de elephant. He has over 18 years of experience in the style industry, with training from Schwarzkopf Canada, and Bumble and Bumble New York. His specialties are men's haircuts, the bob haircut, and wavy perms.
When he's away from the salon, Calvin pursues his interests in mechanical engineering (cars and motorbikes), cooking and handcraft arts. He always appreciates a clean and tidy environment.
Karen Chan
Creative Director
Karen Chan is a Creative Director at Salon de elephant. She has over 15 years of experience in the style industry, with training from the Aveda Institute and Academy Toronto, Vidal Sassoon (London, UK), Bumble and Bumble New York and Senzi Education (UK). She has a degree in advertising-art direction from OCAD University.
Karen loves to travel worldwide and experience different cultures. Her primary interests include jazz/acoustic music, reading, and bird watching.
Specialties include: Creative hair styling, cuts and colour.
Niki Chen
Senior Top Stylist
Niki has over 10 years experience in the industry with training from Vidal Sassoon.
In her spare time, Niki enjoys reading, dancing, and spending quality time with her family.
Specialties include: Women's cuts & perms.
Arisa
Senior Top Stylist
Arisa traveled from Okinawa, Japan to Toronto to pursue her passion and to become a well traveled hair stylist. She graduated from one of the top beauty school [GLAMOUR] from Japan on 2013 and has over four years of experience with her.
Arisa's main interest include travel around the world, cooking ,baking and enjoy exploring new culture.
Specialities in balayage, updos and perm.
Michael Wong
Top Stylist
Michael started at Salon de elephant four years ago as an apprentice, with training from Vidal Sassoon Toronto. He first found his passion for hairstyling when he experimented with colouring his own hair in professional salon settings.
Michael's personal interests include sport and fashion. He especially loves brands like Acronym and Kapital for their unique styles. He loves to share his fashion insights—which aren’t limited to hairstyling!
Specialties include: New style designs for men as well as fashion colours.
Maria
Stylist
Maria was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. She studied Environmental Design at OCAD University. While attending school, she realized for a fulfilling career in design, she needed in-person interaction. Maria went to Aveda Institute to learn about hair design and found her passion. What she loves most about hair design is the ability to positively change the way a person feels about themselves through their styling. Maria also enjoys hiking to experience scenic trails.
Specialties in balayage, bleach and tone and ladies long haircuts.
Ana Caroline
Stylist
Ana is a skilled Hair Stylist with over four years of experience. She graduated in Beauty and Aesthetics in Brazil. With a keen eye for detail, Ana creates personalized hairstyles. She stays updated with industry trends, providing a positive and enjoyable salon experience for her clients. Ana enjoys travelling, explores new places and running.
